HANNAH CONNOLLY STEPHENS
Forgotten Song

These paintings represent the place in our spiritual practice when we are challenged us to grow beyond ourselves, to outwit the confines of how we perceive the material world and work upon the realm of the subtle inner nature. This is not easily achieved, and the Earth is still vibrant in our sight, in forms that compel, allure, disgust, confound. What we see is a reflection of who we are. What we observe of the trees and flowers has everything to do with the contents of our hearts.
